Jakarta Hidden Tour

       Many people are getting fed up with the tour packages commonly offered as traveling to the beach, mountains and even major cities at home and abroad. Opportunity was used by some people who later managed to package a unique tour packages that are not common but "memorable". Participants in the tour is guaranteed to get new things while following the tours.

       Like what is done by Ronny Poluan which is a theater artist, and very loving traditional culture of Indonesia. Ronny is also active as Chairman of Interculture Foundation, a non-profit NGO concerned with social, humanitarian, environmental, and issues of local and international. Starting from the often bring foreign friends around Jakarta and see the other side of the city, namely poverty. Ronny finally initiated a tour called Jakarta Hidden Tour, or Poverty Tourism.

       Ronny see that of the many foreigners who come to Jakarta with various interests, they are only treated to high-rise buildings and the sheer luxury, while Jakarta also has a very alarming. Ronny initiated the original idea itself Jakarta Hidden Tour is to bring the spirit of local culture with foreign culture. He went to the villages and bring together the participants, he did not call them tourists, to see Jakarta as a whole.

       Ronny got paid from the tourists who follow the tour, some are used for community purposes which he visited in the tour. If there is one resident who will soon be sick then Ronny helped him with money earned from fees paid by tourists.

       This tour, had also caused controversy. Criticism also came from the governor of Jakarta, this tour shows the poverty rate in Indonesia especially in Jakarta to the world. However, the tourists who participated in the tour is considered that with the tour, they increasingly know that the people of Indonesia, is really friendly.
