Jakarta will hold the World Stamp Exhibition

       Representatives of 62 countries from around the world will be exhibiting stamps at Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Jakarta, in the event titled "World Stamp Championship and Exhibition Indonesia 2012" on 18 to 24 June 2012.

       Some countries who participate are the United States, Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, South Korea, China, Australia, South Africa, and all countries in the ASEAN region.

       Addition of 80 dealer stamps from both inside and outside the country, has signed up to participate in the exhibition led by the Executive Association of philatelists Indonesia and PT Pos Indonesia.


       Dealer stamps from abroad who have registered are Thailand Post, Singapore Post, Chinese Taipei Post, Giblartar Post, New Zealand Post, IGPC England, Latinamerica Stamp United States, Tunisia, Venezuela, Lithuania, and CCPT Russia.

       The exhibition is targeted to be visited at least 21 000 visitors a week-long exhibition.

       On that occasion, will be showcased 2,500 types of stamp sheet consists of a collection of approximately 40,000 worldwide. It will also be on display a replica of the oldest stamps of Mauritius which was published in 1874.
       Implementing parties invest about USD 12 billion for the exhibition which entitled "The Bridge Toward a Peaceful World Through Stamps". In addition to local sales, exhibition arranged by the international competition to race a collection of stamps race and other postal items belonging philatelists from all over the world.

       Other activities include races set of stamps, stamp coloring contests, seminars and workshops on philately, kids corner, batik demonstrations, art shows, and quizzes about philately will be held as well.
