The Raid (Serbuan Maut) is a film that tells the story of a group of special forces whose mission to catch the owner of an apartment block are not neglected. Owner is a drug dealer. This block was never raided or even touched, by the police before.
As a place not accessible by the authorities, the building became a haven of murderers, gang members, rapists, and thieves who seek safe shelter.
They ambushed the building in the early morning but they were spotted by scouts from the owner of the building, and their ambush was uncovered. Then the owner of the building was instructed to lock the apartment building to extinguish the lights and close all the way out.
Special forces were trapped on 6th floor with no communication and attacked by residents of the apartment. They had to fight through every floor and every room to complete their mission and survive.
It is a piece of a synopsis of the Raid. This action film is expected to be able to make the world opened its eyes to Indonesia. In addition to Sundance, the film was produced by Gareth Evans, played at the Toronto International Film Festival. The Raid won the Midnight Madness Award at the Toronto International Film Festival 2011.
