'Platinum Remi Award' from the 'Houston International Film Festival' or
HIFF held in Houston, at 13 to 22 April 2012.
Asun Mawardi said that he could show to the world that Indonesia movies is good and can win an international festival. This festival is a prestigious competition and the appreciation for the works of the world's best movies
Over 700 movies (500 commercial movies and 200 documentaries movies) participate in the festival. The movie is come from 30 countries, namely Azerbaijan, Australia, Austria, Argentina, Canada, Croatia, Chile, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Malta, New Zealand, Poland, Puerto Rico, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, South Korea, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Russia, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Taiwan.
Of the 700 movies, the committee sift a 150-300, and take 50-60 wide screen movies for the premiere aired. Further to the selection committee for the fight 'Remi Awards'. The category of 'Remi Awards' is contested are the 'Independent Short Subject Films & Video', 'Independent Theatrical Feature Films & Video', 'Independent Experimental Films & Video', 'Independent Student Films & Video' and 'Television, Cable and Web -Based Production'.
